1. Who we are

Platine is a hardware diagnostic tool for repair technicians, operated by M.V.C.. You can contact us at platine.dev.app@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address — used to identify your account
• Password — stored as a secure hash (bcrypt), never in plain text
• Account creation date

When you use the Platine Live USB, the scan data (hardware information of the scanned machine) is temporarily stored on our servers for 24 hours to generate your live link at platine.dev/live/…. This data is automatically deleted after 24 hours.

3. What we do NOT collect

• We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking
• We do not use advertising cookies
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties
• We do not collect payment information — payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy and Stripe

4. Where your data is stored

All data is stored on servers located in Frankfurt, Germany, operated by Hetzner Online GmbH. This means your data is fully subject to EU law and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

5. Legal basis for processing

We process your data based on:

• Contract performance — to provide you access to the ISO download and your account
• Consent — which you give when you create an account and accept this Privacy Policy

6. Your rights (GDPR)

As a user in the European Union, you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability

7. Data retention

• Account data — kept until you delete your account
• Scan data — automatically deleted after 24 hours

8. Cookies

Platine does not use tracking or advertising cookies. We use a session token (JWT) stored in your browser's localStorage to keep you logged in. This is strictly necessary for the service to function.

9. Third-party services

• Hetzner — server hosting (Frankfurt, Germany 🇩🇪)
• Lemon Squeezy + Stripe — payment processing (their privacy policies apply to payment data)
• GitHub — ISO download hosting

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
